Livigno is a small town in the Italian Alps. Livigno is one of the highest mountain resorts in Europe.

Until the late 1960s, Livigno was virtually inaccessible to the outside world as it could only be accessed by mountain trails. In 1968, a narrow tunnel from Switzerland was completed for a length of 3km.
